Scotland Run

The annual Scotland 10k Run took place this Sunday. It was a fitting damp and chilly morning as the large field lined up at the start! Again a large cheering squad was present at the finish waiting for the Hellgate team to push them those last 0.2 miles!

With 24 members completing the 10k course, not one of them wore a kilt (for shame!). However the skirts sure did well! Congratulations to the Hellgate women’s team for placing 2nd! Welcome back to British and guest Hellgaters, Natasha and David, who were able to post stong runs for us. We’re glad to have you run with us on your holiday! And congratulations to Jenn’s sister, Carrie, who ran her fist 10k race; she’s well on her way to her first half marathon!

Honorary Hellgater, Mustafa, placed 3rd overall; he has to let others win the NYRR races sometimes (he won the Colon Cancer 15k in March).

Congratulations are in order, you all looked marvelous out there. If I'm not mistaken I do believe Jaime Sperling was wearing a kilt!!

Sorry Jaime! I need a fact checker!

I was wearing a kilt! Thanks, Suzanne! (I think Jared has photographic evidence.)
